Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) President Ekrem İmamoğlu filed a criminal complaint against 14 individuals, including Nedim Şener and Kenan Kıran, on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information and insult."
The Union of Turkish Municipalities and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu filed a criminal complaint against 14 people, including Sabah reporter Kenan Kıran and Hürriyet writer Nedim Şener, on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information and insult."

Sharing the criminal complaint on his social media account, İmamoğlu's advisor Murat Ongun stated, "We said we would use our legal rights against those who publicly mislead the public. We have used them and will continue to do so. Justice will be served sooner or later."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
It was claimed that a letter was sent to Istanbul University for the annulment of Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma, and some media outlets published news titled 'Request for the annulment of İmamoğlu's diploma.' However, sources from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that the investigation was ongoing but that the claims regarding the annulment of the diploma were not true.
