The Ministry of Labor and Social Security has initiated seizure proceedings against 6 municipalities, including Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, due to debts owed to the Social Security Institution (SGK). In discussions regarding the debts of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, the debts from the period of Melih Gökçek have come to the forefront again. Melih Gökçek, who participated in a program broadcasted on TV100, criticized Mustafa Tuna, who served as mayor for 2 years after him and is a member of the AK Party. "MUSTAFA TUNA IS ACTING DECEPTIVELY"Gökçek stated, "Mustafa Tuna is completely lying. He is acting deceptively." He claimed that when he handed over the municipality, there was not a single penny of tax or insurance debt. Gökçek expressed that only one of the companies had a debt of 195,000 TL in today's money, saying, "If the companies had insurance and tax debts, they could not participate in municipal tenders. That's why all of their debts were zero. Whoever says otherwise is lying, they are speaking deceptively. The total debt I left to Mansur Yavaş is 2.2 billion lira. Mansur Yavaş says it is 3.5 billion TL. But the remaining debts are from the time of Mustafa Tuna," he said. "I AM ASTONISHED BY HIS AK PARTY MEMBERSHIP"Gökçek remarked, "Melih Gökçek has never delayed a salary until that day. What is this man talking about? He has been talking nonsense, pure nonsense," and added, "After Mustafa Tuna took office, he did the opposite of everything I did. For example, he is no different from Mansur Yavaş regarding Ankapark. He said he would dismantle Ankapark. You can be sure of that. I am astonished by Mustafa Tuna's membership in the AK Party," he stated.
