GÖKSAL AŞAN APPOINTED AS CHIEF ADVISOR
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, Göksel Aşan has been appointed as the Chief Advisor to the Presidency.
WHO IS GÖKSEL AŞAN?
Göksel Aşan was born on July 24, 1966, in Istanbul. He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Finance at Istanbul University in 1987. Following this, he completed his master's degree in the Department of Finance at Istanbul University in 1991. He completed his doctoral education in Public Finance at Istanbul University between 1991 and 1998.
Göksel Aşan worked as a research assistant at Istanbul University between 1988 and 1998, and after obtaining his doctoral degree, he served as a faculty member at Istanbul Bilgi University starting in 1998. In 2008, he became an "Associate Professor," and in 2017, he received the title of Prof. Dr.
Having held various positions at Istanbul Bilgi University for many years, Göksel Aşan was appointed as the Vice Rector of Istanbul Aydın University in July 2018.
Aşan was appointed as the President of the Presidency's Finance Office by President Erdoğan on October 16, 2018.
