Kylie Gillies, the experienced host of Australia's renowned Channel Seven, accidentally became a trending topic on social media during The Morning Show. Gillies forgot to remove the price tag from her skirt while on the program and noticed it live on air. The host took the situation in stride and posted on her social media account, "As you can see, it's $49.90 and comes in two color options."
The 57-year-old experienced host of Australia's renowned Channel Seven shared fun photos of herself in a green blouse and black skirt on social media.
However, Kylie sheepishly admitted that she forgot to remove the price tag from her skirt before the show started.
She added a note to her post: "Normally, it's Larry who annoys me on The Morning Show... but today, until 11:37, THIS TIME, I realized the source of discomfort was a price tag. It was swinging around for almost the entire show!"
The host, born in Tamworth, Australia, jokingly added that this was a real clothing mistake and did not promote any brand: "As you can see, it's $49.90 and comes in two color options. Run, don't walk... Not sponsored. We paid full price. Just don't forget to cut the tag!"
Her co-host Larry Emdur immediately teased her in the comments: "I was wondering why you kept scratching... now it makes sense," he said.
Last year, Kylie and Larry celebrated 17 years of co-hosting The Morning Show together. The program began airing on the Seven Network on June 18, 2007.
To commemorate this special day, Kylie shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about their journey since the show's inception.
Kylie also shared photos taken with Larry and their long-time stage manager Tom, writing, "Today we celebrate the 17th anniversary of The Morning Show. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Not even on a tropical island sipping umbrella cocktails... Wait a minute... Do we even work @larryedmur?"
"I raise my glass to my funny and wonderful partner Laz, our extraordinary dedicated team, and everyone watching us. And of course, a shoutout to our stage manager Tom, who has been with us since day one in 2007 and is still here," she continued.
Larry also made a post on Instagram saying: "TODAY IS EXACTLY 17 YEARS!!! 17 years of television marriage, longer than most real marriages. Thank you for all the fun moments, Kardashian chats, laughs, and your support @kyliegillies."
"Big congratulations to our perfect @morningshowon7 family. I love this show so much. And of course, thank you all for keeping us number one in the ratings for 17 years," he added.
In May, Larry revealed the secret to his successful career in television for over 35 years. He stated that having a positive outlook is the foundation of his success.
"It's impossible to predict the future in this industry. Contracts can be for a month-long job or even just a single episode," he told The Daily Telegraph.
"I've always been grateful for every opportunity and managed to remain a reasonable person even in a cutthroat competitive environment."
