GAS LEAK OCCURRED DURING CONSTRUCTION WORK

According to information obtained, the incident occurred at a construction site next to Zekeriya Tanrıverdi Imam Hatip Secondary School and Şehit Ahmet Gülbahar Secondary School in the Onikişubat district. During work carried out at a construction site next to the two schools, a gas leak occurred. 

STUDENTS AFFECTED

Students affected by the intense gas smell were taken out to the schoolyard as a precaution. Upon notification, fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Students affected by the gas were taken to hospital by ambulances. 

TWO SCHOOLS EVACUATED

Students at two schools were also evacuated as a precaution. The students' conditions were reported to be good. Meanwhile, families who learned of the incident began coming to the school to pick up their children.
