In Greece, the National Security Council convened under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis decided to withdraw the Patriot anti-aircraft missile batteries deployed in March at Dimetoka in the Evros region and on the island of Karpathos in the Aegean. During the critical summit, which also approved the dispatch of 13 armored vehicles to Lebanon and the acquisition of new frigates for the navy, Turkey's potential enactment of a new law related to the "Blue Homeland" was closely examined.

According to a report by Greek State Television ERT, the National Security Council met today under the leadership of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

At the meeting, it was decided to withdraw the patriot anti-aircraft missile batteries that Greece had stationed in the Dimetoka province of the Meriç region and Kerpe Island in the Aegean, following attacks by the US and Israel on Iran.

It was also decided to send 13 M113-type tracked armored personnel carriers to Lebanon.

The meeting approved the acquisition of Italian-made Bergamini-class frigates and the modernization of MEKO-class frigates.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Yorgos Yerapetritis briefed the meeting on developments in the Middle East, and Turkey's possibility of passing a new law regarding the Blue Homeland was also discussed.
