İzzettin Aydoğan, who lives in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, called on the authorities to find his 25-year-old son Sabahatin Aydoğan, from whom he has had no news for 3.5 years.
It was stated that Sabahatin Aydoğan, who has dual Turkish and Russian citizenship, was recruited into the army after going to Russia and sent to the Ukraine front.
Father İzzettin Aydoğan claimed that his son was captured by Ukrainian forces during the war and said they had not heard from him for a long time.
"WE DON'T KNOW IF HE IS ALIVE OR DEAD"
İzzettin Aydoğan, who wants to learn what happened to his son, stated that they understood from the photos they had that Sabahatin had been captured.
The grieving father expressed the uncertainty they are experiencing with these words: "My son is a dual citizen, a citizen of Turkey and Russia. He went to Russia, and they sent him to the army from there. He was captured in Ukraine, he is being held captive. For 3.5 years we have had no news of our son. We do not know whether he is alive or dead, but from the photos we have, we know he was captured in Ukraine. He has been in Ukraine for 3.5 years."
PRISONER EXCHANGES GAVE THE FAMILY HOPE
Prisoner exchanges carried out between Russia and Ukraine increased the Aydoğan family's hope of being reunited with their son.
Believing that Sabahatin Aydoğan may be among the prisoners, the family wants it to be determined whether the 25-year-old young man is alive and for him to be ensured to return to Turkey.
HE CALLED OUT TO PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN: PLEASE SAVE MY SON
Stating that he is worried about his son's life, İzzettin Aydoğan called out to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and asked for help.
Aydoğan said, "I plead with our esteemed President, please save my son, I beg you. War is not a good thing, we want the war to end. My son was a dual citizen, he went to Russia, and they sent him to the army from there."
THEY ARE WAITING FOR THE 3.5-YEAR UNCERTAINTY TO END
