İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), made a statement regarding Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa, who decided not to participate in the Ziraat Turkey Cup.

Super League teams Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa had announced that they would not participate in the Ziraat Turkey Cup. In his statement, Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu noted that Kasımpaşa would participate, but Fenerbahçe requested time to think.

Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "Fenerbahçe and Kasımpaşa had intentions not to participate in the Turkey Cup. We discussed this request with them. Fenerbahçe had a decision from last year. Kasımpaşa had made a notification and renewed it this year. The situations of the two teams are different. Kasımpaşa expressed that they have grievances and that their expenses are high, and they positively responded to the federation's initiative to contribute to the brand value of Turkish football. They will participate in the Turkey Cup. Fenerbahçe President Mr. Ali Koç said that they made a corporate decision and that they would discuss this decision with the board of directors and the general assembly, and they requested time. I believe that after that development, they will make a positive decision. Hopefully, it will be so," he said.
