Rockets were fired from besieged Gaza towards Israel. The Israeli army announced that air raid sirens were heard in the capital, Tel Aviv. Hamas's armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed that they attacked the Israeli capital, Tel Aviv, with rockets.
