South Korean Kick streamer withJENNY, who visited Istanbul, was subjected to harassment by a person who approached her while she was livestreaming in Taksim. The individual offered for her to stay with him and, despite her saying she didn't know Turkish, persistently followed her for a while.
South Korean Kick streamer withJENNY, who has been in Istanbul for some time, has been sharing her experiences in the city with her followers through live broadcasts.
In her latest broadcast from Taksim, while walking along the street, withJENNY encountered a person persistently following her. The person approached the streamer, asked, "Do you have a friend here?" and offered to stay with her.
SHE SAID SHE DOESN'T SPEAK TURKISH, BUT HE CONTINUED TO FOLLOW
The South Korean streamer stated she doesn't speak Turkish and tried to explain to the person following her that he should speak English.
Despite this, the person continued to follow the streamer and eventually left the area after a while. The incident was captured live on withJENNY's ongoing broadcast.
"HE MIGHT PROMOTE US LATER, BE CAREFUL"
In another part of the broadcast, conversations inside a workplace withJENNY entered drew attention. A person at the workplace was heard warning those around them about the broadcast.
That person said, "She's filming that thing, don't do anything to her or she might promote us later. Be careful with such things. Stay alert, be smart."
A SIMILAR INCIDENT HAD OCCURRED ON ISTIKLAL STREET
A similar incident involving foreign streamers in Istanbul had occurred on Istiklal Street in June. A Japanese tourist doing a live broadcast was subjected to harassment by a 60-year-old man.
After the incident, the Japanese streamer said, "I love the Turkish people very much. I want everyone to live together peacefully and happily without fighting."
