Hasan Arat, who has been criticized as the main responsible for the chaos experienced in Beşiktaş and has been pointed out for resigning from the presidency, has decided to break his silence.

HE WILL SPEAK ON DECEMBER 24

Former Beşiktaş president Hasan Arat will make statements on Ekol TV screens on the evening of December 24, Tuesday. Speaking to Candaş Tolga Işık, Arat stated, "I want to exercise my right to respond to the allegations that have been raised about me for weeks. I have consulted with both of our presidential candidates on this matter. I am ready to answer your questions live this Tuesday evening," he expressed.

WHAT HAPPENED DURING HASAN ARAT'S RESIGNATION PROCESS

In the process that led to the resignation of president Hasan Arat in Beşiktaş, the poor performance of the football team, as well as the incompatibilities among some executives, played a significant role.

Due to the growing problems stemming from disagreements within the board of directors, the paths of football team general coordinator Samet Aybaba and board advisor Brad Friedel were separated on the night of November 26-27.

The decision to inform Aybaba, who is considered one of the legendary footballers of the black-and-whites, via WhatsApp drew reactions, while on November 27, vice president Onur Göçmez and board member responsible for communication Işıl Zeybek resigned from their positions. After the board meeting held at Tüpraş Stadium, Göçmez withdrew his resignation, and Hüseyin Yücel, the second president of the period, was appointed to head Football AŞ.

In his statement, Hasan Arat emphasized, "Genuine shocks are better than false balances. Beşiktaş is not a club to be subjected to a coup." He highlighted that he continues in his role and that they will overcome the difficulties.

However, just 48 hours after these statements, he announced that he had resigned from his position due to special reasons (health issues) following the 3-1 defeat against Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 5th week of the UEFA Europa League.
