It has been revealed that Eyüp Aksu, the President of Istanbul Taxi Drivers Association, has filed a lawsuit against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) to remove the provision that prevents taxi drivers who commit harassment crimes from working as taxi drivers. Aksu, who accepted this initiative during a live broadcast, said, "The implementation is flawed. We say, expel the driver who does this from the profession, let them not work as taxi drivers anymore. But you do not have the right to ban their vehicles from traffic. We objected to this."

In Istanbul, the problem of taxis has been unresolved for a long time, and Eyüp Aksu, the President of the Istanbul Taxi Drivers Association, has been at the center of discussions with his recent statements and moves.

Aksu made a scandalous confession during a live broadcast. When the program host asked, "It is being discussed that you have filed a lawsuit against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and demanded the removal of the provision that prevents drivers who commit harassment crimes from working as taxi drivers. Is that true?" Aksu answered, "Yes, it is true."

"EXPEL THE DRIVER FROM THE PROFESSION, BUT..."

Aksu defended the move that will ignite a new controversy with the following words: "The implementation is flawed. We say expel the driver who does this from the profession, let them not work as taxi drivers anymore. But you don't have the right to ban their vehicles from traffic. We objected to this."
