In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, a person alleged to have argued with his spouse set the house they lived in on fire after losing his temper. While the flames caused material damage to the house, it was claimed that the suspect escaped by jumping from the roof after the incident.
It has been claimed that a person who argued with his spouse in Tekirdağ lost control of his anger and set his house on fire.
ARGUED WITH SPOUSE, VENTED ANGER BY SETTING HOUSE ON FIRE
The incident occurred yesterday during the daytime on Dr. Abdullah Cevdet Sözeri Street in the Cemaliye neighborhood of Çorlu district. M.M., who was arguing with his spouse in their single-story house, lost control of his nerves. It was alleged that M.M., enraged by the escalating tension, set the house on fire and then fled the scene.
Upon notification from citizens, police, fire brigade, and ambulance teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished after the intervention of firefighting teams. Material damage occurred in the burned house.
“HE ALSO ESCAPED BY JUMPING FROM THE ROOF OVER THE BACK WALL”
A citizen speaking about the incident said, “Smoke was coming out of the house. The person set the house where he lived on fire, and then we saw him on the roof. He escaped by jumping from the roof over the back wall. We then called the fire brigade.”
An investigation into the fire has been initiated.
