Upon notification, a police team was dispatched to the scene. The teams detained the suspect, Berat Z. In his statement, Berat Z. said that he did not want his sister to go to school, which is why he stormed the classroom, and he was arrested.
The General Directorate of Legal Services of the Ministry of National Education, which intervened in the case, stated that the crimes of 'Obstruction of the right to education', 'Violation of workplace immunity', and 'Resistance to prevent duty from being performed' regulated in Articles 112, 116, and 265 of the Turkish Penal Code were committed.
8 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT
In the ruling hearing held on January 20 at the 22nd Criminal Court of First Instance in Adana, Berat Z. was sentenced to 8 years, 6 months, and 22 days in prison.
