In Üsküdar, a driver attacked the vehicle he cut off during a traffic argument over 'yielding the right of way,' punching its window and hood. The attacker then shouted, 'Come to the police station.' The incident was captured on the other driver's mobile phone camera.
In the Altunizade neighborhood of Istanbul's Üsküdar district, around 09:00, Mehmet K. (45) dropped his son off at school with his vehicle and then began to drive down the street. At the point where the parking lot was located at the end of the street, Mehmet K. made a U-turn and at that moment saw a driver attempting to turn from an area where turns were prohibited. During the argument that erupted over yielding the right of way, the driver blocked the front of Mehmet K.'s car with his own vehicle.
PUNCHED THE WINDOW AND HOOD
Getting out of his car, the driver insulted Mehmet K. and then punched the driver's side window twice and the hood hard. The driver then shouted at the other driver, saying 'Come to the police station.' Those moments were recorded by Mehmet K. with his mobile phone camera. The driver then got back into his vehicle and left the scene.
FILED A COMPLAINT
After the incident, Mehmet K. went to the police station and filed a complaint against the driver, whom he accused of insulting him and blocking his vehicle. It was learned that there was no damage to Mehmet K.'s car from the incident, and an investigation has been launched.
