It has been learned that arrested Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, whose statement was taken as part of effective remorse, was taken to the Çağlayan courthouse upon his request to give an additional statement. It was reported that Özkan Yalım, who was brought to the Çağlayan courthouse to give his additional statement, had a meeting that lasted approximately 5 hours.
A new development has occurred regarding Özkan Yalım, the arrested Mayor of Uşak, who was caught in a hotel room with his 21-year-old girlfriend and suspended from duty as part of an investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on allegations of "bribery" and "corruption."

Özkan Yalım, who benefited from effective remorse, was taken to the Çağlayan Courthouse upon a request to give a new supplementary statement. It was learned that Yalım's statement process at the prosecutor's office was completed and lasted approximately 5 hours.
DEMİRHAN GÖZAÇAN, WHOM YALIM NAMED, WAS DETAINED
Demirhan Gözaçan, a former provincial administrator of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Manisa, was detained in an operation carried out early this morning as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was learned that searches were conducted at Gözaçan's home and vehicle; Gözaçan is a close friend of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
Following the allegations made public by Uşak Mayor Özkan Yalım, "I delivered 1 million TL in cash inside a bag to a person named Demirhan, whom I know as a close friend of Özgür Özel, near the CHP provincial headquarters in Denizli, on Özgür Özel's instructions," Demirhan Gözaçan was detained early this morning in Manisa. It was learned that searches were conducted at Gözaçan's home and car, and he was taken from the Manisa Provincial Police Department to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department.
In a written statement by CHP Manisa Provincial Chairman İlksen Özalper, it was claimed that defamation and smear campaigns have been carried out against Demirhan Gözaçan in recent days, and it was stated that the detention was carried out "without authorization."
ÖZKAN YALIM'S FIRST STATEMENT OF EFFECTIVE REMORSE
In his first statement under the scope of "effective remorse," Özkan Yalım claimed to have given a total of 1.2 million TL to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel before the congress and that a VIP vehicle was allocated using municipal resources. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, however, denied these allegations and argued that the costs for the vehicle and accessories were paid by the party.
"I LEFT 200 THOUSAND TL IN A BAG ON THE GARDEN WALL"
In his statement, Yalım alleged that he gave money to Özgür Özel when he was the CHP Group Chairman, using the following words: "I gave money to Özgür Özel, who was then the CHP group chairman, in cash amounting to 200 thousand TL and 1 million TL. I took the 200 thousand TL in cash to Özgür Özel's house in Manisa. When I approached the house, I called Özgür Özel via WhatsApp. He told me to leave the money on the garden wall of the house, inside a bag.
I did as he said and left the 200 thousand TL in a bag on the garden wall for Özgür Özel to collect and then left. I delivered the 1 million TL in cash inside a bag to a person named Demirkan, whom I know as a close friend of Özgür Özel, near the CHP provincial headquarters building in Denizli, on Özgür Özel's instructions."
"VIP CONVERSIONS WERE PAID THROUGH THE MUNICIPAL COMPANY"
Özkan Yalım also provided detailed allegations regarding the Mercedes V300 vehicle, which he claimed was allocated for Özgür Özel's use. Yalım stated that the VIP conversion processes for both the vehicle purchased for the municipality and the vehicle he claimed Özgür Özel used were carried out by the same company in Istanbul.
In his statement, Yalım said the following: "The VIP conversion of the V300 vehicle purchased from Ankara for my personal use within Uşak Municipality was carried out by Dizayn Oto in Istanbul. The VIP conversion of the Mercedes V300 official vehicle allocated for the use of CHP Chairman Özgür Özel was also carried out by the same company; the conversion costs for both vehicles were paid by Uşak Municipality."
Yalım alleged that the municipal driver and Özel's driver met at the company in Istanbul, after which he was informed that the conversion expenses should be covered by the municipality upon the "Chairman's instructions."
"I REMEMBER PAYING 170 THOUSAND EURO PLUS VAT"
In his statement, Yalım also provided information about the payment items, saying: "The VIP conversion invoice for both vehicles was paid through the Uşak Municipality Social Facilities Company. I remember that 25 thousand euro plus VAT was paid for the conversion of the municipality's vehicle, and 170 thousand euro plus VAT was paid for the conversion of the vehicle allocated for Özgür Özel's use."
Yalım also stated that the municipality's vehicle had features such as a partition, television, satellite system, refrigerator, and special lighting, but he did not know the conversion details of the vehicle he claimed Özgür Özel used. At the end of his statement, he said, "I regret this transaction; I want to compensate for the public loss incurred."
