Following the woman's screams and the moments recorded on a mobile phone, the police caught the suspect. While the woman did not file a complaint, the attacker said in his statement that he beat her due to a money dispute and was released under judicial control.
A suspect who fled after beating his girlfriend in an apartment garden in Adana was taken into custody by police teams. In his statement, the suspect, who said, "There was a debt between us, that's why I beat her," was released by the court on condition of judicial control.
BEAT HIS GIRLFRIEND WITH KICKS AND PUNCHES
The incident occurred in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy neighborhood of the central Sarıçam district. Osman Ö. (21) started arguing with his girlfriend Emine A. (43) for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated, Osman Ö. beat the woman he was arguing with in the apartment garden. The suspect caught Emine A., who tried to escape from his grasp by shouting, "Damn you, help!" and continued to hit her with kicks and punches in the street. Bystanders intervened as the woman fell to the ground. The moments were captured on a mobile phone camera, while Osman Ö. fled. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the report.
DID NOT FILE A COMPLAINT
Emine A., who refused medical intervention by the health teams that arrived at the scene, did not file a complaint against the person. However, teams affiliated with the Sarıçam District Police Department quickly caught the suspect at his hiding place.
After his procedures at the police station, Osman Ö. was referred to the courthouse. It was learned that the suspect said in his statement at the courthouse, "There was a debt between us, that's why I beat her." Osman Ö. was released by the court to which he was referred, on condition of judicial control.
