Yair Netanyahu, son of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, targeted the Arab parties that won 19 seats in the parliamentary elections and emerged as key players in the government formation process. Netanyahu, who portrayed Palestinian citizens of Israel as a threat to the country's future, claimed that the Arab parties 'constitute at least as great a threat to Israel's survival as the Iranian nuclear program.'

As debates continue over the success of the Arab parties following the parliamentary elections held in Israel on October 27, a striking statement came from Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Yair Netanyahu, who posted from his account on the US-based social media platform, targeted the Arab parties representing Palestinian citizens of Israel.

"THEY OPENLY DECLARE THEIR DESIRE TO DESTROY THE JEWISH STATE"

Yair Netanyahu used the following statements in his post:

"The problem with the Arab parties is not that they are Arab. The problem with them is that they are Palestinian nationalist and Islamist parties that openly declare their desire to destroy the Jewish state and aim to establish a Palestinian state on its ruins."

Claiming that almost all Palestinian citizens of Israel vote for Arab parties, Netanyahu argued that these parties and their voters pose a threat to Israel's future.

HE COMPARED IT TO IRAN'S NUCLEAR PROGRAM

Yair Netanyahu claimed that the Arab parties and Palestinian citizens of Israel "pose a threat to Israel's survival at least as great as Iran's nuclear program."

Netanyahu's statement came after the number of seats the Arab parties won in the elections put them in a decisive position in calculations to form a government.

ARAB PARTIES WON 19 SEATS

In the parliamentary elections held in Israel on Tuesday, October 27, the Joint List led by Yusuf Jabarin and Mansour Abbas's United Arab List (Raam Party), which represent Palestinian citizens of Israel, won a total of 19 parliamentary seats.

With this result, the Arab parties positioned themselves in a key position that could influence the government formation process in the Israeli Parliament.

NETANYAHU'S BLOC FAILED TO REACH A MAJORITY

According to the election results, Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling bloc won 53 parliamentary seats, while the opposition bloc led by Gadi Eisenkot remained at 48 seats.

Neither bloc was able to reach the majority needed to form a government on its own. The 19 seats won by the Arab parties became decisive in the political calculations regarding the establishment of a new government.
