In Bolu, it has been reported that 66 people lost their lives and 51 were injured in the fire that occurred at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya. The owner of the hotel, Halit Ergül, made statements three days before the tragedy.

"OCCUPANCY RATE IS 80%"

Ergül, who is also the President of the Western Black Sea Tourism Hoteliers Association, stated that the occupancy rate at the hotel is 80% and that they expect this figure to reach 100%.

Speaking to DHA, Ergül said: "All hotels have made their preparations and are waiting for their guests. During the semester break, hotel prices start from 18,000 TL per night and can go up to 50,000 TL. In fact, if we look at special rooms and villas, prices increase. The snow depth on the slopes is 1 meter and all slopes are open. There are ski schools for children. There are tracks for children. There are also activities for guests to have fun in this way. We expect at least 50,000 people during the semester break."
