The incident occurred in the Ilgınburnu area between the rural neighborhoods of Kuşcenneti and Aksakal in the Manyas district. Ali Ekin, who left his home in Kuşcenneti neighborhood to fish, did not return in the evening hours. His relatives, who could not reach Ekin, who also did not answer phone calls, searched frequently around the Manyas Lake where he often fished and reported him missing.
