A person who was detained in a prison in Antalya, Turkey, left on parole and escaped without returning. The suspect, who was attempting to swim to Greece, was caught in the sea by the authorities.

The Coast Guard Antalya Group Command teams initiated an operation to search for M.H.K., a prison escapee who did not return after being released on leave.

The teams apprehended M.H.K. when he was trying to swim from Başak Island (Meis) to Kızılhisar Island in the Kaş district. M.H.K. was taken into custody and transferred to the Kaş Republic Prosecutor's Office after the necessary procedures.
