WENT SPEARFISHING, COULD NOT RETURN TO THE SURFACE
The incident occurred in the Kalkan Yeşilköy neighborhood of Kaş district. Volkan Kırca, who worked as a furniture craftsman, entered the sea to spearfish.
When Kırca did not resurface for a long time, nearby citizens became suspicious and searched the area where he was diving. During the check, the young man was found motionless underwater.
FOUND TRAPPED IN ROCKS
After citizens' attempts to pull Kırca out of the water failed, the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and expert diver teams were dispatched to the area.
The teams arriving at the scene struggled to extract Volkan Kırca from the rocky area where he was trapped. Health teams determined that the young man had lost his life.
WIFE AND MOTHER BURST INTO TEARS
After autopsy procedures, Kırca's body was handed over to his family from the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Emotional moments occurred during the delivery of the body.
The young man's wife could not hold back her tears and briefly fainted. The young woman, calmed by her relatives, was heartbreaking in her grief. The grieving mother and relatives also broke down in tears.
