Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated that the person using a flashing light in a luxury vehicle, who claimed "I am the governor's nephew" in a video shared on social media, is not his relative, and that the necessary legal actions will be initiated.
A driver in Istanbul, who was violating traffic rules with his luxury vehicle equipped with flashing lights, endangered both his own life and the lives of other drivers.
"I AM THE GOVERNOR'S NEPHEW," HE SAID
Not stopping there, the driver responded to another driver who reacted to him and recorded him with a mobile phone camera by saying, "I am the governor's nephew." The driver, who disregarded traffic safety, then drove away from the area. Footage of those moments created a significant stir on social media.

In a statement on social media regarding the footage, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül stated that this person is not his relative and that necessary legal action will be initiated.
"EVEN IF HE WERE MY RELATIVE, IT WOULD NOT CHANGE ANYTHING"
In his post, Governor Gül stated, "The person who does not comply with traffic rules is not my nephew. The light and sound equipment in his vehicle is illegal. Necessary legal action will be taken regarding this matter. Even if he were my relative, it would not change anything."
