In Osaka, Japan, an anonymous donor has donated approximately 3.6 million dollars worth of 21 kilograms of gold for the renewal of the water infrastructure.
A remarkable donation was made for the maintenance and repair of the water infrastructure in Osaka, one of Japan's major trade centers. The Osaka Municipality announced that an anonymous individual donated approximately 21 kilograms of gold, valued at around 3.6 million dollars, to be used for the renovation of the water system.
MAYOR ANNOUNCED
According to the statement from the municipality, the donation was delivered in November. Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama stated at a press conference that the same donor had also provided a cash support of 3,300 dollars for the water network a month earlier.
"THIS IS REALLY AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT"
Expressing his astonishment at the donation, Yokoyama said, "This is really an incredible amount. I was shocked." The mayor mentioned that the donor requested to remain anonymous and that this request was respected.

According to reports in the local press, the renovation of water pipes in Osaka, which has a population of approximately 2.8 million, was facing budget difficulties due to rising costs. The gold donation is expected to make a significant contribution to the project.
