A young man who wanted to buy a $160 Real Madrid jersey decided to search for valuables with a metal detector in 3 abandoned stadiums to find the money. First entering a stadium that had been unused for 25 years, the young man found old coins and various items under the ground. However, he had set a condition for himself: if the value of what he found did not reach $160, he would not buy the jersey he wanted so much.
The content creator, inspired by the story of a person who found valuable items in an abandoned building, began searching for treasure in football stadiums that had not been used for years.
His first stop was a stadium that once hosted 44,000 fans and has been unused since 2001. Scanning the stands with a metal detector, the young man aimed to find items dropped years ago by fans who came to watch matches.
Shortly after starting the search, the content creator found his first coin, then discovered a broken whistle and various metal pieces. However, the items he found had very little monetary value.
FANS REOPENED THE STADIUM YEARS LATER
Researching the stadium's past, the young man learned of a remarkable event in 2015. After former footballer Peter Ševcara wanted to play his farewell match here, fans came together and cleaned the stands that had been covered in grass for years and prepared the pitch for use again. After the farewell match, the stadium became unusable again.
THE OLD COINS HE FOUND SURPRISED HIM
Continuing his search around the pitch, the content creator found a metal piece with the number 7 on it. He thought it might belong to the old scoreboard. Then he discovered two coins dated 1978 and 1980. Noticing that the writing on them resembled Russian, the young man decided to research later which country the coins belonged to and what they were worth.
