Özel and Kılıçdaroğlu, whose political paths diverged after the absolute nullity decision in the CHP and who made headlines with the tension between them, once again came face to face at a funeral ceremony.

The two figures who came together at the funeral ceremony shook hands. It was seen that former TBMM Speaker Bülent Arınç was also alongside them while Özel and Kılıçdaroğlu were present. Throughout the ceremony, Özel and Arınç had brief conversations from time to time.
