Şenel Akdemir, a Gençlerbirliği fan who went berserk because of the Fenerbahçe jersey worn by a 3-4-year-old child who was next to his father during the match, faced reactions from all segments of society.

In the images, it was seen that a police officer took the little child into his arms and carried him to a safe area. It was observed that despite the child being in the police officer's arms, the stand thug walked toward the little child and scared him, and that he would have physically harmed the child if those around had not intervened and had he gotten the chance.

Fenerbahçe Club contacted the little fan Göktuğ Alımcı and his family after the incident. In the statement made by the club, it was stated that members of the Fenerbahçe Board of Directors met with Göktuğ Alımcı and his father Selami Alımcı. The yellow-navy club announced that Göktuğ and his family will be hosted at the Olympique Lyon match to be played on Tuesday.

Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi shared the photo of the child, whose Fenerbahçe jersey had been removed, in the arms of the police officer on his social media account.

I sincerely thank our sensitive police officer who protected our little child, targeted for his Fenerbahçe jersey during the Gençlerbirliği match, by embracing him with compassion and ending the tension with common sense. The Turkish police are the refuge of the innocent, the conscience of our nation, and the guarantee of peace. We will never allow hooliganism in the stands and will always protect our children's peace. I kiss the eyes of our innocent child and wish success to our devoted police officer and all our security forces in their duties" he said.
