Prosthetic teeth forgotten in the fountain of Eskişehir Alaaddin Mosque astonished the congregation. A notice was posted on some of the mosque's windows and the fountain stating, "A set of dentures has been found. The owner can collect them from the mosque." One member of the congregation said, "They have been here for about a week. I have never seen such an event."
The sign that says "A denture has been found in the fountain. The owner should take it from the mosque" hanging on the windows of Eskişehir Alaaddin Mosque located in the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir surprised those who saw it.
FORGOT HIS DENTURES WHILE PERFORMING ABLUTION
It was learned that the sign hanging on some windows of the mosque and the fountain indicated that a citizen performing ablution had left his dentures on the fountain and forgot them there. The prosthetic teeth, seen by another citizen, were handed over to the mosque administration. The teeth, whose owner is being sought, are being kept inside the mosque.
"I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH AN INCIDENT"
Muammer Baysal, a member of the mosque congregation, said about the incident, "It catches one's attention; it seems that a person is so weak that they wouldn't notice their dentures are missing. May God be their helper. When found, our teachers will probably try to deliver them. It caught my attention when I first read it. I hope they are found and returned to their owner. They have been here for about a week. I have never seen such an incident. A watch can be forgotten, one can forget it suddenly. They might have forgotten it while washing after taking it out of their mouth. After all, we are made of flesh and bone. But a person should at least have some idea about their forgotten dentures and search around."
