A new development has occurred following the resignation of Özlem Vural Güzel, the Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, from the CHP. After the resignations of CHP council members Murat Uzun and Uğur Gökdemir, Nevzat Cebeci also resigned from the party. In his statement, Cebeci said, "The prioritization of personal agendas over representing the party is incompatible with the fundamental values of the CHP."

Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, Özlem Vural Gürzel, announced her resignation from the CHP in a statement she made last night. Gürzel, who stated that she could not find support from her own party, said, "The heavy accusations and unfounded allegations directed at me have made my situation unbearable." In her statement, Gürzel expressed, "Nevertheless, I want it to be known that I have been supported and valued by the members of the Justice and Development Party, the Nationalist Movement Party, and most importantly, the people of Beykoz."

RESIGNATIONS KEEP COMING

Following Gürzel's resignation, CHP council members Murat Uzun and Uğur Gökdemir left the party, and today another CHP council member, Nevzat Cebeci, announced his resignation.

"PERSONAL INTERESTS DO NOT ALIGN WITH CORE VALUES"

Cebeci included the following statements in his resignation post: "During my political activities under the roof of the Republican People's Party, I gained significant experiences alongside my valuable colleagues. I sincerely thank everyone for the support and contributions I received during this process. Unfortunately, in the roles I have undertaken with patience and resilience until today, I have witnessed that some individuals and mindsets within the party exhibit divisive rather than unifying, destructive rather than constructive behaviors. The prominence of personal interests over representing the party is not in line with the core values of the CHP."

"THIS DECISION IS AN INEVITABLE RESULT OF THE REALITIES I HAVE WITNESSED"

At this point, I would like to inform the public that I can no longer continue as a council member under the roof of the CHP under the current conditions and that I have resigned from party membership. This decision is an inevitable result of the processes I have experienced and the realities I have witnessed. I will continue my duties as a Beykoz Municipal Council Member with the same determination, prioritizing the interests of Beykoz and its residents above all political calculations."
