Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the Syrian Embassy, which ceased its operations in 2012, will resume its activities starting from tomorrow.

After the fall of the Assad regime, an appointment was made to the Turkish Embassy in Damascus, which had ceased operations in 2012, after 12 years, and Burhan Köroğlu was assigned as the Acting Chargé d'Affaires in Damascus.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan officially announced the time when Turkey's Embassy in Damascus would resume operations after 12 years during a television program.

Fidan stated that Burhan Köroğlu and his team were on their way to Damascus, and he said that the embassy would also start operations from tomorrow.
