Ömer Faruk Arslan (40), who confessed that he strangled his 7-year-old daughter Adara Arslan in Batman in 2023 to make his wife, from whom he was getting divorced, suffer, was found dead in his ward at Beşiri Closed Prison, where he was being held. An investigation was launched into the death of Arslan, who was buried in Batman Asri Cemetery after the autopsy.
In Batman, 3 years ago, Ömer Faruk Arslan (40), who strangled his daughter Adara Arslan (7) and hid her body in the coal cellar, was found dead in his prison ward.
WAS FOUND UNDER SACKS IN THE COAL CELLAR
The incident occurred on January 30, 2023, on 1306th Street in Beşevler Neighborhood. Adara Arslan's body was found under sacks of wood and coal in the coal cellar belonging to her aunt. Adara's body was buried in Batman Asri Cemetery after autopsy procedures at Batman Training and Research Hospital.
Adara's father, Ömer Faruk Arslan, whom police teams were looking for as a suspect in connection with the incident, was caught and taken into custody in Diyarbakır on a bus traveling to Istanbul. In the investigation, it was determined that his wife M.A. had filed for divorce against Ömer Faruk Arslan, who was also her relative, about 4 months before the incident, and had come to Batman to stay with her family. It was also determined that Ömer Faruk Arslan, who came to the city, had fought with his wife's relatives.
HE HAD CONFESSED THAT HE KILLED HER TO MAKE HIS WIFE SUFFER
In his interrogation at the police station, Ömer Faruk Arslan confessed that after going out with his daughter on Sunday, at around 23:00 he took her to the coal cellar next to his sister's house, and there strangled his daughter to make his estranged wife M.A. suffer. It was determined that the scratches on Arslan's face were also caused when Adara resisted him. After his procedures, Arslan, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to prison.
FOUND DEAD IN HIS WARD
Ömer Faruk Arslan, who was in Beşiri Closed Prison, was found dead in the ward where he was staying. Arslan's body was buried in Batman Asri Cemetery after autopsy procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
