In Konya, Rahman Öztürk stabbed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk and sister Esmanur in the throat, killing them during an argument. His father Fuat Öztürk, who fell ill during the incident, died in the hospital. The perpetrator Rahman Öztürk was arrested.

Rahman Öztürk (30), who stabbed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk (58) and sister Esmanur Öztürk (19) in the throat during a dispute at home in Konya, killed them. His father Fuat Öztürk, who fell ill on the day of the incident and was taken to the hospital, also died.

MASSACRE AT HOME

The incident occurred around 14:00 last Tuesday on Hilmi Dede Street, Işıklar Neighborhood, Selçuklu district. Rahman Öztürk stabbed his stepmother Dursuniye Öztürk and sister Esmanur in the throat during a dispute at home, killing them. Police and health teams were dispatched to the address upon notification.

Teams entering the home determined that Dursuniye Öztürk and her daughter Esmanur had died. The mother and daughter's bodies were taken to the morgue. Father Fuat Öztürk, who was bedridden in another room during the incident, fell ill and was taken to Konya Numune Hospital by ambulance.

The mother and daughter were buried on Wednesday in the Karapınar district.

FATHER WHO FELL ILL AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT ALSO DIED

Rahman Öztürk, who was taken into custody after the incident and alleged to have psychological issues, was arrested following police procedures.

It was learned that in his statement, Rahman Öztürk said his stepmother constantly gave medication to his ill father Fuat Öztürk, and that his father's health deteriorated due to these drugs. Öztürk also stated in his testimony that he felt unwell when eating at home, so he occasionally ate outside, and for this reason he blamed his stepmother and sister.

Fuat Öztürk, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital, also died today.
