A 31-year-old secret has emerged regarding the 47-year-old suspect who killed his brother in Darıca.
AMBUSHED AND KILLED HIS BROTHER On Wednesday, April 1, around 08:00, an incident occurred on Ertuğrulgazi Street in the Nenehatun neighborhood, where Çetin Kaya (35), a married father of two, was attacked while starting his truck to go to work. The suspect, who was found to have hidden under the truck and set an ambush, emerged from his hiding place and shot Kaya with a gun. Despite all the interventions at the hospital, Çetin Kaya, who was severely injured, could not be saved.
Çetin Kaya ALSO ATTEMPTED TO KILL HIS MOTHER After the incident, the teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch launched a large-scale investigation and identified the perpetrator as S. Kaya, Çetin Kaya's 47-year-old brother. Following the teams' surveillance, the suspect, who allegedly went to the hospital to kill his mother, who was receiving treatment after the murder, was caught and detained at the hospital. S. Kaya, whose procedures at the police station were completed, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
KILLED HIS FATHER 31 YEARS AGO Initially thought to be related to inheritance and money issues, the murder was revealed to be part of a long-standing family tragedy. Allegedly, S. Kaya stabbed and killed his 42-year-old father, Cemal Kaya, in 1995 when he was just 16 years old in the Akse Junction of Gebze district.
At that time, it was learned that his father slapped him because he did not want him to associate with his friends who were thieves, and S. Kaya, angered by this, did not return home that night. It was reported that Cemal Kaya, who left the house to find S. Kaya, encountered his son at the junction, and despite telling him to "Come home," he received a refusal and was stabbed in the back with a knife taken from a watermelon seller by his son as he turned to leave. Following this murder, it was recorded that S. Kaya went to prison.
Cemal Kaya EXCLUDED FROM THE FAMILY After the father’s murder, other members of the Kaya family cut off all communication with S. Kaya, who reportedly could not cope with this exclusion and occasionally had conflicts with family members.
It was claimed that the suspect passed by his brother Çetin Kaya's house for about a week before the incident, trying to provoke family members by threatening them from time to time; he also saw his mother as responsible for all this enmity and exclusion from the family, which is why he planned to kill his mother after his brother.
Moreover, it was among the allegations that some members of the suspect S. Kaya's own family made provocative comments on social media towards some members of the victim's family.
