The young entrepreneur, who ignored those who said "You can't do it," stated that he has been doing livestock farming with great passion for 3 years.
Esat Er, a 30-year-old living in Çorum, resigned from his secretarial position at the hospital where he worked as a civil servant 3 years ago. Er, who wanted to realize his childhood dream, established his own farm in Köprüalan village in Çorum, where his family lives. Er, who started production in a coal shed he converted into a barn about 3 years ago, has now reached 18 cattle at the farm he established. Er, who takes care of his animals every day with his mother and father, does his job with great love. Er, stating that everyone around him told him he couldn't do this job when he made this decision, said that he worked without paying attention to criticisms and strived to develop his farm.
"THIS IS DEFINITELY MY CHILDHOOD DREAM" Esat Er, stating that he loves livestock farming very much, said, "Dealing with people had started to become difficult for me. I had a desire to escape somewhere, do something, and produce. I quit my own job. The pandemic also contributed to this process. I'm glad I embarked on this business. As a young entrepreneur, I am proud to serve my country. When I saw animals, I always had the desire to deal with them, but due to school and circumstances, I didn't have the opportunity. This is definitely my childhood dream. Everywhere, I proudly say, 'My dream came true.' Even though people reacted at first, I am now living my dream, and the happiness of it is enough for me."
"I STARTED CARING FOR ANIMALS IN A COAL SHED" Er, emphasizing that he experienced both financial and spiritual difficulties while entering the sector, said, "First, you need to have a place. To build this place, you need financial means. Spiritually, we also started the job with many deficiencies. They said, 'You can't do it, you won't succeed, you're entering a sector you don't know, everyone is going bankrupt.' We entered without fully knowing what kind of business we were getting into, but we overcame everything with our love for animals. I started caring for animals in a wood shed and a coal shed. Thank God, we now have our own farm. In this process, my mother and father's influence is very high. When I'm not around, they come to help and provide financial support," he said.
"JUST AS HEIDI RAN AWAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, WE RAN AWAY HERE" Er, who drew attention to the importance of production and called on young people, said, "Initially, I had 25 animals. I sold some of the animals to invest in our facility, and now I have 18 animals left. As long as God gives us health, we are happy here. Just as Heidi ran away to the mountains, we ran away here, and we are very pleased. I think that in the future, all people will return to their own villages as an escape point. We need to produce for our homeland and our society. If we don't produce, we will perish. Therefore, I seriously want young people to do this job and participate in production," he expressed.
