A 68-year-old person who climbed a tree with a ladder to collect linden flowers in the Akyazı district of Sakarya lost their balance, fell, and died. After hours of no contact, a relative searching the forest for the elderly man found his lifeless body.
68-year-old Mustafa Bayrak, living in Pazarköy Neighborhood of Akyazı district in Sakarya, climbed a tree in a forested area using a ladder to collect linden flowers.
FOUND BY A RELATIVE AT THE FOOT OF THE TREE
While working on the tree, Bayrak lost his balance and fell to the ground. After the incident in the forested area, the elderly man went unnoticed for a long time. In the evening hours, a relative who could not reach Bayrak became suspicious and went to the area to check on him. Finding Bayrak motionless on the ground at the foot of the tree, the relative reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
LOST HIS LIFE
Upon the report, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. In the checks conducted by the health teams arriving at the scene, it was determined that Mustafa Bayrak had lost his life. After the teams' examinations at the scene, Mustafa Bayrak's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue for necessary procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
