An operation was carried out against suspects who intercepted a shuttle carrying passengers from Fatih to Istanbul Airport and stole jewelry worth approximately 3 million lira from the passengers. Of the 11 suspects detained by police teams, 8 were arrested by the court they were brought before.

On June 13, in Istanbul's Fatih district, a service vehicle carrying 11 passengers heading from their accommodation to the airport for a journey was stopped by 3 vehicles in the Göktürk area. 

THEY STOLE JEWELRY WORTH 3 MILLION TL FROM 11 PASSENGERS

The suspects, getting out of the vehicles, boarded the service vehicle and stole jewelry worth approximately 3 million Turkish Lira from the 11 passengers inside. It was learned that immediately after the robbery on the highway, the suspects got back into their vehicles and fled to Bursa to sell the jewelry. 

11 SUSPECTS WERE CAUGHT

Following the incident, teams from the Public Security Directorate's Robbery Bureau took action, identified the suspects' location, and carried out a simultaneous operation. As a result of the operation, 11 people were apprehended in Bursa and brought to the Public Security Branch Directorate for processing.

8 WERE SENT TO PRISON

The 11 suspects, after their procedures at the police station, were referred to the courthouse. Eight of the suspects referred to the courthouse were arrested by the court. Judicial control measures were applied to the other 3 suspects.
