Bee sting in Tekirdağ resulted in death. The butcher and restaurant operator, who was reportedly stung by a bee on his jugular vein while working in a barn, died after two days of treatment at the hospital.
A bee stung Melih Ertekin, who runs a butcher shop and restaurant in the Saray district of Tekirdağ, 2 days ago while he was tending to his animals in his barn in the Güngörmez neighborhood.
STUNG ON THE CAROTID ARTERY
Ertekin, reportedly stung on the carotid artery by the bee, fell ill and was taken by his relatives to Saray State Hospital. After staying there for 1 day, his condition worsened, and he was transferred to Çerkezköy State Hospital yesterday.
COULD NOT BE SAVED
Ertekin, 29, who was treated in the intensive care unit at the hospital, died today despite all interventions by the doctors.
