M.B., believed to have entered the depot from the balcony of his room and taken to the hospital for a health check, passed away despite all interventions. A 62-year-old citizen with a mental disability, who had been reported missing in Bilecik since yesterday, was found sleeping in a printing house warehouse on the lower floor of his building. Taken to the hospital by ambulance, the individual could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions and passed away.
TRAGIC NEWS CAME WITHIN 24 HOURS
M.B. (62), residing on the 2nd floor of a 5-story apartment building on Yahyabey Street in Gazipaşa Neighborhood with his family, suddenly went missing around 9:00 PM yesterday. Unable to reach him and stating that he had a mental disorder, his family immediately went to the police and filed a missing person report.
ENTERED THE PRINTING HOUSE WAREHOUSE FROM THE BALCONY
Teams immediately began search efforts. Family members suspected that M.B. might be inside the printing house warehouse located directly below their apartment and informed the police. Upon arriving at the scene, police teams called the warehouse owner and had the door opened.
Entering the premises, teams found the unfortunate man sleeping inside the warehouse. Initial investigations revealed that M.B. had climbed down from the balcony of his own room into the warehouse below and entered it.
AUTOPSY RESULTS PENDING
Transferred by ambulance, called to the scene for health checks and precautionary measures, to Bilecik Training and Research Hospital, M.B. was immediately taken into treatment. However, the elderly man's condition worsened, and he died despite all medical interventions at the hospital.
The reason for M.B.'s sudden illness while sleeping in the warehouse and the exact cause of death will become clear after an autopsy is performed at the hospital morgue.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
