In Esenler, a 17-year-old boy opened fire on a crowd gathered for a soldier's celebration during a fight. 17-year-old Yusuf Arda Özer, hit by the bullets, was taken to intensive care for treatment.

FIGHT BROKE OUT WHEN HE CAME SPEEDING IN A VEHICLE

The incident occurred on April 19 on Tuna Street in the Tuna neighborhood. According to allegations, Derviş G. started asking everyone on the street if they had seen a person with whom he had a feud. Derviş G. was then warned by those around him for speeding into the area in his vehicle. Shortly after, an argument broke out between Derviş G. and those who warned him. Following the argument, Derviş G. left the scene in his vehicle.

HE OPENED FIRE ON THE CROWD

Shortly after, Derviş G. returned to the scene with a gun. When he began insulting those he had argued with, a brief scuffle ensued. After the scuffle, Derviş G. opened fire with his gun towards the crowd gathered on the street for a soldier's celebration. The bullets hit Yusuf Arda Özer, who was there for the soldier's celebration.

While the suspect Derviş G. fled the scene with three people who came with him, Özer was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention by health teams who arrived at the scene upon notification. Yusuf Arda Özer, seriously injured, has been receiving treatment in intensive care for 8 days. Efforts have been initiated to capture Derviş G., who is known to have a criminal record for many offenses.

"HE WAS GOING TO SHOOT MY OTHER CHILDREN TOO"

Mother Esma Özer said, "My son stayed at his workplace until 2 days before this incident just to attend this celebration. He said, 'Mom, I won't leave Kadir alone, I must join the celebration.' He didn't even come home, he worked for 2 days. I called my son and said 'come, food is ready.' Shortly after, I heard gunshots. I went outside and saw my child lying on the ground. He still hasn't been caught. No shame, no decency, the person who did this was going to shoot my other children too. I am at the hospital, let him come and shoot me. His condition is critical, the risk continues, internal bleeding continues."

"HE FIRED 7-8 SHOTS"

Özer's friend Muhammed Abdo said, "There were two friends who had a feud between themselves. We were about to have a soldier's celebration at that time, and he kept passing by our area. He was asking about the boy he had a feud with, and while he was constantly asking us, our friend told him off, saying 'enough, he doesn't come here, go away, we have a celebration, don't ruin it.' He started swearing. Then they started swearing at each other and came face to face. This boy got into his car and said 'I'll go and come back.' He drove away and came back on foot. Our friend went up to him to resolve the matter, to prevent a fight. My friend held him and said 'what's wrong?', 'let's go to the back street and talk there, we have a celebration, don't ruin it.' Then he reached for his gun, our friend hit him, and then he started firing at us with the gun. The bullet hit our friend, there were many kids there, he fired 7-8 shots," he said.

SUSPECT APPREHENDED

After the incident, police teams who launched an operation to capture the fleeing Derviş G. apprehended the suspect in an operation today. It was learned that the suspect will be referred to court tomorrow after his statement procedures at the police station.
