In Arnavutköy, a person used a credit card they found on the ground to first pay off a debt and then made grocery purchases. The cardholder, who tracked the suspect through the card transactions, was unable to catch the thief.

An interesting theft incident occurred in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul on January 14. According to the claim; Orgun Eyüpoğlu dropped his credit card on the ground while walking on the sidewalk in the Yunus Emre neighborhood. Later, when Eyüpoğlu wanted to go to the market and shop, he realized that his card was missing. Checking his mobile phone, Eyüpoğlu saw a notification that his card had been used for shopping, so he went to the relevant business. The man who missed the suspect by a minute was shocked to learn that the debt was paid on credit at the establishment.

"CLOSING THE DEBT WITH CONTACTLESS FEATURE"

Describing his situation, Orgun Eyüpoğlu said, "I must have dropped my credit card after dropping my child off at school. A woman finds my credit card and makes a purchase. The person who went to the market later came to this clothing store and closed the debt using the contactless feature. When she came here, she came in a different way than she usually does. I went to the market and realized that my card was missing at that moment. The places where my card was used are very close, I followed but couldn't catch up. I canceled my card, and the police came, I waited for them to return my card, but there was no response." he stated.

"I KNOW MY CUSTOMER, HE ALWAYS PAYS HIS DEBT"

Nimetullah Aksoy, the owner of the business where the debt was paid, said, "As far as I know, a solid customer of mine always pays his debt when he comes. He came in the morning and said he would pay his debt, he had a debt of 630 TL and said he would pay with a card, and I said okay. Less than 10 minutes later, this friend came. He is normally my regular customer, I didn't suspect anything, I thought he was covering his face with a scarf because it was cold." The moments when the woman paid the debt were captured by security cameras.
