Brandishing a knife, he caused moments of terror for those nearby, breaking the shop's window and shouting, "When I make a promise, I keep it." After approximately 30 minutes of police persuasion efforts, the suspect was removed from the workplace and taken into custody.
Intense moments occurred at 13:30 on 638 Street in Cumhuriyet District, Muratpaşa, Antalya. İnanç A., the owner of a motorcycle repair shop who is claimed to have psychological issues, locked himself in his workplace with a knife and poured gasoline on himself. His friends and those nearby who heard the shouting reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
BROKE THE WINDOW AND SHOUTED "WHEN I GIVE MY WORD, I KEEP IT"
Teams were dispatched to the address upon the report. İnanç A., whom his friends were trying to persuade, broke the workplace window with his hand. Locking himself inside and not letting anyone near him, the man shouted to the surroundings while breaking the window, "When I give my word, I keep it."
DETAINED
İnanç A., who was persuaded and brought out of the workplace after approximately 30 minutes of work by the police team, was asked to be taken into an ambulance. When he refused to get into the ambulance, he was intervened on the street. İnanç A. was taken to the police station for his statement. The police team confiscated the knife and lighter.
