The incident occurred in the Hüsnü Karakaş neighborhood of the Kepez district. According to reports, a heated argument broke out between Abdullah A. and his 7-month-pregnant wife, Hatice A. (25), due to jealousy. The husband, unable to control his anger, shot his wife below both kneecaps with the gun he had with him. As the young woman collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, the attacking husband quickly fled the scene.

In his initial statement at the police station, Abdullah A. confessed to his crime, stating that he went into a jealousy crisis and fired as a result. While the suspect was referred to the courthouse after his procedures were completed, it was learned that the health condition of 7-month-pregnant Hatice A. and her baby, who were receiving treatment in the hospital, was good.
