Following the attack in Kahramanmaraş, the Anatolian Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into a suspect who made a threatening post targeting a school in Istanbul's Üsküdar district.
Consecutive school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş plunged Turkey into mourning. Messages shared in Telegram groups after the attacks were truly chilling.
DATE AND LOCATION GIVEN FOR NEW ATTACKS
In a Telegram group named "C31K," which has approximately 100,000 members and was found to be sharing footage related to the attack, it was seen that the attacker was praised, and dates and locations were provided for new attacks. A user in the group was seen targeting a school in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, writing, "Urfa is done, next is Ç.A.L. Istanbul Üsküdar."
INVESTIGATION INITIATED
An investigation was launched by the Anatolian Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the suspect in question. It was also stated that investigations were initiated against individuals related to threatening posts reflected on social media under the crime of "TCK 213 Threatening to create fear and panic among the public."
THAT GROUP WAS SHUT DOWN
On the other hand, after the attack, requests were made for the removal of content and blocking of access regarding 66 URL addresses that were provoking on Telegram. The aforementioned Telegram group named "C31K" was also shut down.
