In Elazig, 61-year-old M.K., who was keeping watch in the sheepfold with a shotgun to protect his livestock from wolves, fired into the darkness upon hearing a sound at night. Thinking he had shot a wolf, M.K. entered the sheepfold and found his 51-year-old wife, Hasret Kus, covered in blood. Hasret Kus lost her life, and M.K. was taken into custody.
The unfortunate incident that occurred in Elazig during the night hours darkened a family's life.
ARMED 'WOLF' WATCH AT THE SHED
According to the information obtained, the incident took place in the Meseli village affiliated with the central district. The animal owner M.K. (61), who noticed that wolves had entered the shed where they kept their small livestock two days ago, began to keep watch with a shotgun to prevent a similar attack. Acting on the sounds coming from the shed during the night hours, M.K., thinking the wolves had come again, randomly opened fire with the shotgun he had with him towards the direction the sound came from.
SHOCKED WHEN HE SAW THE PERSON SHOT WAS HIS WIFE
After the sound of the gunshot, hearing a sound of someone being hit, the elderly man went to the shed to check the situation and encountered a horrifying scene. While M.K. thought he had shot a wolf, he found his 51-year-old wife, Hasret Kuş, lying on the ground covered in blood. Upon the situation being reported, health and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
TAKEN TO THE MORGUE FOR AUTOPSY, HUSBAND TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
In the initial intervention and examination by the health teams arriving at the scene, it was determined that Hasret Kuş had lost her life. After the public prosecutor conducted examinations at the scene, the unfortunate woman's lifeless body was taken to the Fırat University Hospital morgue for autopsy procedures. M.K., who caused his wife's death by accidentally shooting her, was taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams. The judicial investigation launched into the incident continues.
