A woman who believed her pain was due to kidney stones gave birth on a bedside table at the hospital she visited for her pain. The surprise baby was born healthy, weighing 3,400 grams. Doctors stated that they determined the woman was between 38 to 40 weeks pregnant.
Rebecca Johnson, a special education teacher and mother of two daughters aged 9 and 1, woke up on the morning of September 9 with unbearable back pain.
THOUGHT IT WAS A KIDNEY STONE
Although Johnson initially thought the cause of her pain was a kidney stone and didn't take it seriously, she went to the hospital after the pain intensified.
Rebecca described the intensity of her pain, saying, "I was telling my husband that this was worse than any labor pain I had experienced before. I was screaming so loudly." Due to symptoms like severe back pain and a constant urge to urinate, both she and the nurses suspected that the cause of the pain was a kidney stone.

Taken to a private room for examination, Rebecca suddenly noticed that her lower body was wet and thought it was uncontrollable urine. As she tried to get up to go to the bathroom, she sat on the nightstand next to the bed. Johnson realized at that moment that she was pregnant and had started to give birth.
The surprise baby, whom her family named Carlee Evangeline, was born healthy, weighing 3,400 grams. Doctors stated that the woman was 38 to 40 weeks pregnant.
