It has been decided that the treatment of New Party Gaziantep Deputy Melih Meric, who was injured in a knife attack in Gaziantep, will continue in Istanbul. In line with the request of his family and the evaluation of doctors for Meric, who is being monitored in intensive care at Gaziantep City Hospital, the process of transferring him by ambulance plane to Koc University Hospital has been initiated.
A new development has occurred regarding the health condition of New Party Gaziantep Deputy Melih Meriç. It has been decided that the treatment of New Party Gaziantep Deputy Meriç, who was attacked with a knife in Gaziantep on August 18, will continue in Istanbul instead of Gaziantep City Hospital.
TRANSFERRED TO ISTANBUL
Following the request of Meriç's family and the medical evaluation conducted by physicians, the procedure has been initiated for his transfer to Koç University Hospital in Istanbul via an ambulance plane. In the official statement made during the day, it was stated that the transfer would take place after Meriç's clinical condition was deemed suitable for transport.
INTESTINES INJURED IN KNIFE ATTACK
Melih Meriç was stabbed in the abdominal region after an argument with Seydi Ahmet Keleş in the Şahinbey district escalated into a fight.
Meriç, who was taken to Gaziantep City Hospital by health teams called to the scene, underwent surgery. In initial statements, it was reported that the knife blow caused an injury to his intestines and that the injured area was repaired during the surgery.
