The Future Party, led by Ahmet Davutoğlu, which stepped onto the political stage with the claim 'We will come to power in the first election,' has been officially dissolved after the vote was held.

The Future Party, which began its political life on December 12, 2019, closed its doors with a historic congress held at its headquarters. In the critical vote attended by 180 delegates, 164 delegates voted in favor of dissolution, while 16 delegates voted for the party's continuation. Following the vote count, the legal existence of the Future Party officially came to an end.

"THIS IS NOT A GIVING UP, BUT A MORAL RESOLVE"

In the final official statement made by the party administration after the congress, the manifesto titled "For the Turkey of Tomorrows," announced to the public on July 29, 2026, was recalled. The statement emphasized that the decision to withdraw from party politics was made in order not to be part of the polluted political climate, and included the following expressions: "Just as we founded the Future Party with sincerity, dignity, and great excitement, today we are closing it with the same sincerity, dignity, common reason, common will, and honor. The decision we made today is not a giving up; it is the will to protect the values we believe in and the moral ground of politics! We extend our gratitude to our Chairman, Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, and to all our comrades and citizens who have supported our cause since our establishment."

WHAT WILL THEY DO NEXT?

With the dissolution of the Future Party, which played an active role in Turkish politics for 7 years, the roadmap that Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu and the party executives will follow in the upcoming period has become a matter of curiosity.

HE USED TO SAY "WE WILL COME TO POWER"

In a previous statement, Davutoğlu had said, "The political landscape in Turkey will change, and we will come to power. There is only one piece of good news that Turkey will see from now on. This government will go, and the Future Party cadres who advocate clean politics will come. We will deliver this good news in the first election we enter, starting from the South. They are afraid of us, and they will be."
