In Muş, during a police stop of a passenger bus, a foreign national whose suspicious behavior drew attention was found to have narcotics in capsule form in his stomach. Examinations at the hospital revealed a total of 804 grams of opium gum inside 118 capsules. The detained suspect was brought before a court and arrested.
SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR GAVE HIM AWAY
Teams from the Muş Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crime Investigation Branch conducted an inspection on a passenger bus they had stopped at a checkpoint. Suspicious of the behavior of a foreign national on the bus, the teams took the individual under control.
REVEALED BY X-RAY
When the suspect was taken to the hospital, examination and radiological imaging determined there were foreign objects in his stomach. As a result of medical intervention, a total of 804 grams of opium gum in 118 capsules was removed from the individual's stomach.
The seized narcotics were confiscated. Following procedures at the police station, the detained suspect was referred to the judiciary. The individual was arrested by the court before which he was brought under Article 188 of the Turkish Penal Code and sent to prison.
