A 'red alert' has essentially been issued for team captain Milan Skriniar at Fenerbahçe. The yellow-navy blues have prepared a special program for the Slovak defender, whose injury has not fully healed.
In Fenerbahçe, which continues the championship race in the Trendyol Süper Lig and reduced the point difference with leader Galatasaray to 2, eyes turned to the key figure of the defense, Milan Škriniar.
RED ALARM FOR ŠKRINIAR
A "red alarm" was issued at the club for the experienced player, who could not continue in the second half of the match played against Kayserispor last week due to increasing pain.
INTENSIVE EFFORT FROM THE MEDICAL TEAM
The 31-year-old player, who has been having problems for a while due to a tear in his adductor muscle (groin area), was not risked and did not take the field despite being in his country during the national break. The yellow-dark blue team's medical staff is literally racing against time for the player to be able to take his place in the team for the match against Çaykur Rizespor, which will be played in Kadıköy on Friday.
"I WILL BE ON THE FIELD UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON"
According to incoming information, Škriniar expressed in his meeting with his technical director that he did not want to leave the team alone in this critical process. It was learned that the Slovak player said, "Every match is a final on the road to the championship. No matter how much pain I have, I want to be on the field and help the team."
SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR ŠKRINIAR
It was learned that the star player will not participate in some trainings until the match day as a precaution and will take the field with a program more focused on matches. It was noted that Škriniar plans to complete the season by making sacrifices in this way, and that comprehensive surgery or treatment will be performed as soon as the season ends.
DECISION WILL BE MADE ON MATCH DAY
The Fenerbahçe technical staff will make their final decision about Škriniar on the morning of the match, based on his performance in the last trainings.
