The moment of the hot clash that erupted when B.C., linked to ISIS, who was preparing for an action at Sultanbeyli Bus Terminal, opened fire on the police was captured on camera second by second. B.Ç., who was assessed to be preparing for a terrorist attack in Sultanbeyli and was linked to ISIS, was neutralized in a clash with the police. While materials used in the production of explosives were found in the suspect's home, G.Ç., who was linked to the incident, was detained in Tuzla.

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department conducted an operation at the Sultanbeyli Bus Terminal to capture 21-year-old B.Ç., who was determined to be linked to the ISIS terrorist organization and preparing to carry out an act in Turkey. In the operation, which took place around 10:00 PM, a clash broke out between the security forces and the suspect, who responded with gunfire to the police's "surrender" calls.

Teams that instantly responded to the bullets fired from the weapon the suspect aimed at the police officers neutralized B.Ç. at the scene. The intense clash moments were reflected moment by moment on the surrounding security cameras.

EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS FOUND AT HIS HOME

After the operation, a detailed search was conducted at the residence of the neutralized B.Ç. During the searches, chemical and technical materials assessed to be used in potential explosive production were seized. The seized materials were sampled by the Bomb Disposal and Investigation Branch Directorate teams and taken to the laboratory for examination.

Deepening the investigation, counter-terrorism teams raided the address in Tuzla of 48-year-old G.Ç., who was identified as being in contact and linked with B.Ç.

During the searches at the home of the detained G.Ç., the following items were seized:

  • 1 unlicensed pistol,
  • 200 rounds of 9x19 mm ammunition,
  • A large number of organizational and digital materials.

The interrogation and judicial procedures of the suspect G.Ç., captured in Tuzla, continue at the police department.
